WWE is set to make its debut at the Walt Disney World Resort with two events scheduled for mid-December at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The programming expansion comes after years of internal discussions regarding a potential venture between the two companies.
The inaugural John Cena Classic will take place on December 14 and will be broadcast live on Netflix as a special edition of Monday Night Raw. The tournament will feature a selection of performers from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, with the winner earning the John Cena Classic Championship.
A second event, an Avengers: Doomsday-themed edition of Worlds Collide, is scheduled for December 15. This event will feature talent from WWE, NXT, and AAA, occurring just days before the film's scheduled U.S. theatrical release on December 18.
