Joshua Academy Charter School has announced a new initiative to send eight sixth-grade students and two staff members on an all-expenses-paid trip to Walt Disney World. The excursion is scheduled to take place in January 2027.
The trip is made possible through a partnership with the Cops Connecting with Kids program and the Evansville Police Department. The announcement was shared during a surprise reveal event held on Tuesday.
The program aims to foster positive relationships and build trust between law enforcement officers and local youth. By participating in this shared experience, organizers hope to provide students with the opportunity to interact with officers as community mentors.
