Hollywood Studios is set to introduce a new area titled Monstropolis, which will replace the former Muppets section of the park. The land will be centered around the themes and characters from the Monsters, Inc. movies and television series.
The centerpiece will be a suspended roller coaster designed to simulate a journey through a scream factory. The ride will feature a launch that lifts guests 40 feet in the air in four seconds before sending them through the factory doors.
Additional features of the land will include an Elite Scarers Club, the Scareporium store, a restaurant named Harryhausen’s, and a signature stage show hosted by Mike and Sulley.
