Walt Disney World has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to expand its Disney Dreamers Academy to include 200 middle school students from Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, and Houston. The program previously served 100 high school students annually since 2008.
The revamped initiative is designed as a multiyear program intended to support younger students during their middle school years. Participants will have access to year-round workshops, mentorship opportunities, and career education.
According to Walt Disney World Director of External Affairs Tajiana Ancora-Brown, the program aims to provide support, build confidence, and offer inspiration during a key developmental period. The academy will also utilize virtual experiences to maintain connections with students and mentors.
