The colorful new solar-powered trash cans that have been rolling out across Walt Disney World have now reached Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios — and they've been given a playful makeover to match the land's toy-box aesthetic.

A Design That Fits the Land

The new cans feature a color-block pattern with a green top for the waste and recycling openings and a triangular yellow-and-blue design near the base, while the solar panels on top remain gray. "Waste" and "Recycle" are printed on the front in a handwritten-style font. They have been scattered throughout Toy Story Land, placed near the entrances to several of the land's attractions and eateries.

Solving a Theming Concern

The addition addresses a concern raised when plain gray versions of the cans began appearing across the park, including right up to the entrance of Toy Story Land. With their bright new design, the cans now sit far more comfortably alongside the land's oversized, toy-inspired surroundings.

Part of a Resort-Wide Rollout

The solar-powered cans — which use their panels to power built-in compactors — first debuted at EPCOT in June before being confirmed for a wider rollout across Walt Disney World. They can now also be found at Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom, with themed versions including a Chinese Theatre design at the front of Hollywood Studios and Sorcerer Mickey cans in Animation Courtyard. Over by Alien Swirling Saucers, the original gray, purple, and green cans were still in place at the time of writing.
