Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek has been named as one of four nominees for the Vail Resorts board by activist investor Oasis Management. A proxy filing with the SEC revealed that Chapek began an agreement with Oasis on July 28, 2026, which includes a payment of $100,000 per month.

Under the terms of the agreement, Chapek is to serve as an independent director and provide advisory services regarding strategy and operations. The deal also includes a $500,000 forgivable loan for the purchase of Vail stock should he be elected to the board.

Vail Resorts has officially recommended that shareholders vote for its own slate of nominees. The company questioned Chapek’s independence given his financial arrangement with Oasis and noted that he did not disclose the relationship during initial interviews with the company's CEO in August.
