Walt Disney World has updated the My Disney Experience app to include a new feature for hotel room requests. Guests can now specify preferences such as building location, floor level, and bed type directly through the app before their arrival.
Previously, guests could generally only submit such requests by calling Disney or by speaking with a cast member at the front desk. The new digital tool is currently available for guests staying at value and moderate resorts, though it is not yet available for deluxe resort accommodations.
While the requests are not guaranteed, the feature provides a new way for guests to influence their room assignment. The update follows the retirement of third-party room request services that many visitors previously utilized for planning their stay.
