Magic Kingdom's Astro Orbiter is scheduled to undergo a brief closure from January 5 through January 7, 2027. The attraction is expected to reopen to guests on January 8.

This upcoming work is classified as routine maintenance, following a more significant refurbishment in 2025 during which the ride was removed from its platform on top of the PeopleMover. The planned closure is notably shorter than previous projects.

Guests visiting Magic Kingdom during this period are encouraged to consider alternative spinning attractions in the park, such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant or The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.
