In early 2027, Disney+ subscribers in the UK and Ireland will gain access to content from Channel 4 at no additional cost. The agreement includes the broadcaster’s live HD channel, along with a library of catalogue and new programming.
Content will be organized within a dedicated Channel 4-branded section, integrated into the existing Disney+ interface. Notable shows slated for the platform include 'Maya', 'Stepping Up', and 'Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins', as well as various on-demand titles like 'Big Mood' and '24 Hours in A&E'.
Adam Smith, Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer at Disney Entertainment, stated that local broadcaster partnerships are essential to Disney's global strategy for content libraries and audience discovery. Further details regarding the programming and exact launch date are expected to be confirmed in the future.
