The Walt Disney Company has collaborated with the Royal Observatory Greenwich and 1UP Studios to launch 'Astro Assemble,' a free, interactive classroom tool. The program is designed to support Key Stage 2 and 3 students in the UK by integrating Marvel characters, including Iron Man and Thor, into space science lessons.

The resource focuses on enhancing problem-solving, collaboration, and critical thinking through team-based challenges. It aims to align with national curriculum goals and make STEM subjects more engaging for students.

A pilot study conducted with 350 students across eight schools reported that confidence in discussing space science increased by 20% among participants. Additionally, 90% of participating teachers indicated they would utilize the Marvel-inspired materials for future lessons.

Astro Assemble is now available for schools to access via the Royal Museums Greenwich website.
